About The Event
Students will be broken up based on age and skill level
Hour 1:
Stride Mechanics
- Power skating
- Stride length
- Edges
- Agility
- Explosiveness/Speed
Hour 2:
Shooting:
- wrist, snap, slap, backhand
- quick release
- one timer
- shot accuracy
- changing angle of the puck
- shooting in stride
Hour 3:
Skills
- Players will use shooting techniques in game like situation stations
- Puck control (stick handling, deception, puck protection)
- Transitions with pucks (tight turns, pivots, escapes)
- Shooting (drills to help mimic game situations)
- Stations
